What is the Spoken Word?

Every time you speak, you influence your world. You are either building it up or tearing it down. Words are the lasers of human thought. Rather than scattering in all directions, thoughts, when they are expressed as words, are in phase with each other. They are all going in the same direction, and this increases their power almost beyond belief.
It is true that thoughts are supreme as the molders of our world. Thoughts are initiatory to all changes. But something else happens when we put our thoughts into sentences, when we speak the word. It sets up potent vibrations in our bodies. Speaking and hearing and feeling our thoughts impress them more fully on us than merely thinking them. Words move us into action. When we declare our thoughts, when we speak, every atom of our bodies responds to the sound of our voices. Not only do we hear what we say, we actually feel what we say.
Every word, therefore, has an effect. The intensity of the effect depends on the intensity of the thought and feeling behind it and the way the word is spoken. "The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit." ~ Proverbs 18:21
Radical Authenticity: Cut through the noise of societal expectations. Your soul's will is usually found in what makes you feel most alive, not what others expect you to do.
The Power of Your Voice: Your words carry weight. Whether spoken quietly to yourself or performed to a crowd, they shape your inner reality.
Surrender & Stillness: Often, we must let go of past regrets and future anxieties to hear the silence of the soul.
Reflect and Breathe: Start with a journal. Ask yourself, "What is the deepest desire I am currently silencing?"
Find Your Rhythm: Write how you speak. Don't worry about traditional poetic structures; focus on the cadence, the pauses, and where you need to breathe.
Perform for Yourself: Practice speaking your truth out loud. Let the volume and energy match the emotional weight of your message.

Core Pillars of the Spoken Word

Words Create Your Reality

They absolutely do. The language you use—especially your self-talk—acts as a blueprint. When you speak, your brain registers those words as directives, actively rewiring your beliefs and influencing your actions. Words are energy in the form of vibrations, and our vibrations create our reality. The Bible says that God said “Let there be light” and spoke it into existence; sound became form.
What if our words created a feedback loop? What if we have an experience and, instead of harvesting the good from it, we instead complain about it over and over — could we simply be creating more of that same experience? And what if instead we chose to focus on the positive? It could dramatically shift the way we view ourselves, other people and the world around us; we may find ourselves becoming a magnet for positivity.
When you realize how powerful language is, you can step into the role of 100% creator of your own reality. So look around at what you’re creating. If there’s something in your life you don’t like, pay attention to how you speak about it. Shift your language and see what happens.
